Jonathan Stout's Soundslice Transcriptions for Sale

Soundslice.com is a powerful teaching and learning tool, and I’m so excited to announce I’ve started publishing transcriptions/arrangements to their store for purchase.

Originally, I thought of it as just a way to sync notation to a video performance… like “follow the bouncing ball” with song lyrics for karaoke or something. But I failed to realized just how powerful it is as a learning/teaching tool to sync notation with audio/video, but especially because of all of the other functionality that is built in, including the ability to slow down (with out changing the pitch) and loop sections.

For a couple years, I’ve been using Soundslice.com has a tool to transcribe the playing of my heroes. In fact, the ease of use of Soundslice’s interface and built-in notation editor was what finally allowed me to accurately transcribe Allan Reuss and George Van Eps after almost 20 years of trying and failing. That said, Soundslice has also been a wonderful tool to help me work those transcriptions up to full fluency, and especially as the years go by, to help me relearn them.

So far, there are two tunes for sale… but I’m expecting to put up more regularly.
